The Tolv Factory:

Tolv upholds the Scandinavian ideals of well-made, well-designed furniture. We are obsessive about the finer details, and the collection is made in our own factory where we can keep a keen eye on cost and quality.

Our products are built using premium materials and manufactured in our factory in Vietnam by skilled craftsmen under Danish management.

Our factory is set up to engage with designs that involve a high degree of manual skill and time-consuming procedures, placing us at the intersection of craftsmanship and mass production.

Most factories are designed around efficiency—machines and processes built to drive costs down and output up. But that wasn’t the approach we wanted to take.

We set up our own factory so we could do things differently. It allows us to prioritise design rather than production logic. Instead of asking designers to shape their work around machinery, we ask them to design freely—and we figure out how to make it happen.

Many of the pieces we produce involve a level of manual craftsmanship that would be difficult or expensive to achieve in more automated environments. We see that as a strength. It gives us space to focus on quality, detail, and design integrity—rather than compromising for the sake of scale.

Owning and managing our own factory also gives us full control over sourcing, labour standards, and finishing. It allows us to maintain the consistency and quality we need. And that’s something industry professionals don’t often expect to see in this part of the world.
