We believe good value is about staying useful over time.
With our collection, your investment in good furniture will go far
Tolv is a Danish-owned furniture brand that has been designing and producing original and iconic products for homes and interior spaces worldwide since 2014.
Tolv means “12” in Danish, describing a framework for living that’s centred around your day.
The number twelve is integral to daily life and provides a fundamental framework across time, space, and art. It divides time into twelve hours on a clock and twelve months in a year. There are twelve zodiac signs in astrology, twelve main hues on the color wheel, and in music, twelve pitches form an octave. In geometry, a cube has twelve edges, and twelve inches make a foot.
Our thoughtful and considered pieces work for you around the clock.
The Tolv Factory:
Tolv upholds the Scandinavian ideals of well-made, well-designed furniture. We are obsessive about the finer details, and the collection is made in our own factory where we can keep a keen eye on cost and quality.
Our products are built using premium materials and manufactured in our factory in Vietnam by skilled craftsmen under Danish management.
Our factory is set up to engage with designs that involve a high degree of manual skill and time-consuming procedures, placing us at the intersection of craftsmanship and mass production.

Most factories are designed around efficiency—machines and processes built to drive costs down and output up. But that wasn’t the approach we wanted to take.
We set up our own factory so we could do things differently. It allows us to prioritise design rather than production logic. Instead of asking designers to shape their work around machinery, we ask them to design freely—and we figure out how to make it happen.
Many of the pieces we produce involve a level of manual craftsmanship that would be difficult or expensive to achieve in more automated environments. We see that as a strength. It gives us space to focus on quality, detail, and design integrity—rather than compromising for the sake of scale.
Owning and managing our own factory also gives us full control over sourcing, labour standards, and finishing. It allows us to maintain the consistency and quality we need. And that’s something industry professionals don’t often expect to see in this part of the world.
Meet Robin & Carlos, the principals of Tolv.
We take a hands-on approach to every part of the business. Whether it’s selecting materials, deciding which designers to work with, developing new products, reviewing prototypes, resolving production issues, or figuring out how and where to present our collection—we’re involved in it all.
We work through things together, talking through decisions big and small. Over time, it’s become a rhythm: two perspectives, one shared approach.
We focus our energy in different areas that complement each other—mainly what happens before, during and after production, such as working with partners around the world, visiting trade fairs and keeping an eye on the market; and managing the production side, taking care of the day-to-day realities of making things properly and on time. Our roles are different but connected—one of us looks out, the other looks in.
This balance helps us make decisions, keep perspective, and keep things moving forward.

The Process:
The process of bringing a new product into the world varies. Sometimes it begins with a clear need—identified through our own analysis or through conversations with partners. Other times, a designer will bring us something unexpected. From there, it becomes a conversation.
We work closely with designers who share our outlook. To us, a designer isn’t just an artist—they’re a problem-solver. A new piece has to meet practical requirements: it must be comfortable, durable, easy to use. It must also make sense within our collection and reflect the broader needs of our partners and customers.
The development process is collaborative. There’s usually a back-and-forth—between designer, brand, and production—where a piece will shift and adapt through several iterations. Challenges come up; they always do. But when handled well, they often lead to something better than the original idea. That, too, is part of design.

Our Philosophy:
At its core, Tolv exists to make furniture that feels resolved—visually, practically, and emotionally. We work with designers who share this ethos, who understand that beauty is not enough on its own. A product must also be usable, durable, and appropriate to its purpose. We see design as a process of solving—not just expressing.
We don’t follow trends or chase novelty. Instead, we aim to create enduring objects that hold their own over time. Everything we make is the result of careful collaboration, where ideas are tested, adapted, and refined until they feel right. There are no gimmicks, no unnecessary gestures—just thoughtful, well-made furniture that carries its weight quietly.
